Every garden should have a story and display passion. Enjoy a week watching coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show and you will be inspired by the supreme talent and innovation on Main Avenue and The Royal Pavillion. The atmosphere was electric yesterday with the Royal Family Tour and glorious sunshine.
It is the year of young designers with the edge. David and Harry Rich designed a useable garden inspired from the night sky and Milky Way with a selection of floaty plants and a pond symbolising the black hole. Hugo Bugg’s, aged 29 did a fantastic job on the Waterscape Garden, a contemporary geometric garden with a waterfall. And The Daily Telegraph’s exhibit has to be praised for an impeccable design and lovely use of colour.
The rose is the queen of flowers; Britain’s favourite flower. Enchanted by the latest release at RHS Chelsea with Peter Beales Roses wonderful “frilly cuff” modern shrub rose. An erect flower with a citrus and apple scent that grows up to ten feet.
RHS Chelsea brings our minds to our own gardens, and seeking solutions to our outdoor spaces. Your gardens should be captivating and we want you to genuinely fall in love with the design of your garden. A garden has to work cohesively and all elements need to be taken into consideration.
